About HopeForFeathers.com

HopeForFeathers.com was created out of a desire to support the many deserving organizations who are involved in the areas of avian rescue and sanctuary, research and conservation. Under current economic conditions, contributions to these organizations have been declining, making it even more difficult for these groups to provide much needed services to those parrots who are not as lucky as the ones living in our own homes.

We thought that providing a fun, unique, cost effective, parrot related ecard service in exchange for a low membership fee would be a great way to generate funds for our partner charities as well as value to our members. Through use of our ecards not only will you be doing a good thing for parrots, you will find that our ecards:

• are a fun and unique way to share your passion for birds with others
• will save you money - have you noticed how expensive store bought cards are these days?
• will save you time – no need to shop, sign, stuff, mail and lookup/write addresses
• are eco-friendly – no trees are harvested to make ecards; and
• are an expression of your "goodness" and concern for parrots.

We are betting on the fact that combining lots of small donations can make a huge difference. All of the charities represented on our web site have agreed to be supported by HopeForFeathers.com and we have committed to donating a minimum of 50% of the membership fees collected to our charity partners.

In addition to our core group of charities, we also plan to represent two new charities every quarter on a rotating basis. We would like to work with every deserving organization however, at this time; we must limit the number of charities we support at any one time. By keeping our operating expenses low, we can maximize contributions to the charities we do represent.

Please help us maximize our charitable efforts by:

• Telling all your friends and bird related social networks about our site.
• Signing up for the Angel Wings level membership (75% of membership fee donated to charity)
• Submitting original digital parrot artwork and/or photography for possible inclusion on our site as an ecard.
